An ongoing relationship for experienced oversight
Website Stewardship is an ongoing relationship for businesses that want experienced oversight of their website without building an internal web team or commissioning a succession of disconnected projects.
I stay familiar with the website, the priorities behind it and the evidence around its performance, then help decide where attention is worthwhile.
What Stewardship includes
Quarterly review
Every three months we step back and look at the website in the context of the business.
What’s changed? What’s working? What deserves attention next?
Monthly monitoring
I check key performance, search and technical indicators so that we’re not relying entirely on someone noticing a problem.
An active improvement list
Ideas, requests and problems have somewhere to go.
I help organise and prioritise them rather than treating everything as equally urgent.
Ongoing improvement
Where something needs attention, I can investigate, make smaller changes or help move it forward without every task becoming a separate project or proposal.
Responsive guidance within clear boundaries
You can email me with website questions and expect a response within two working days.
Some questions can be answered quickly. Where something needs deeper investigation or dedicated delivery time, I’ll explain that separately before work begins.
What you’re paying for
Stewardship covers continuity, oversight, prioritisation, monitoring and smaller interventions that can reasonably be handled as part of an ongoing relationship. Anything requiring a dedicated block of delivery time becomes separately agreed work.
The more important part is continuity.
I understand why decisions were made, what has already been tried, what the website is supposed to achieve and where the business is heading.
That means every question doesn’t begin from zero.
From £750 per month
Stewardship starts at £750 per month, with an initial six-month commitment.
I only work with a small number of Stewardship clients because each relationship represents a genuine commitment of attention and capacity.
Anything substantial enough to require dedicated delivery time is agreed separately before work begins.
There are no unlimited requests and Stewardship isn’t an emergency support contract.
Is Stewardship right for you?
Stewardship makes sense when the website is important enough to deserve regular attention, but you don’t need or want a full-time person responsible for it.
It usually isn’t where I recommend starting.
A Check-in or Improvement Day gives us a chance to work together first. If we discover that ongoing oversight would genuinely be useful, we can discuss Stewardship from there.
