Shaping better directions

When your team is in motion but not fully aligned, I help you create clarity and direction. I listen, ask the right questions, and connect the dots between product, brand, and your wider goals. Together we uncover what matters, sharpen your positioning, and set a practical way forward that your team can actually use.

With a combination of different skills and qualities at his disposal, Alex is capable of playing a pivotal role in organisational projects where stakeholder engagement and buy-in is essential.

How it works

This is a collaborative engagement, usually 4 to 8 weeks, shaped around your context.

  1. Discover

I speak with key people, review existing work, surface assumptions, and understand where alignment is breaking down.

  2. Diagnose

We map what is working and what is not. This often reveals tensions, inconsistencies, or gaps in understanding that were hidden in day-to-day work.

  3. Define

We create a shared picture of direction: clearer goals, priorities, value propositions, and decision-shaping principles. This becomes the anchor for the team.

  4. Refine

We rework messaging, positioning, product narratives or journeys so the direction is not just understood internally but expressed clearly.

  5. Align

We bring key people together to agree on focus, sequencing, and next steps. The team leaves with clarity and confidence.

What you get

This is strategy made practical and usable.

Strategic clarity questions

Short answers for teams who need more alignment before moving important work forward.

What does strategic clarity work involve?

Strategic clarity work helps a team create a shared understanding of the problem, direction, priorities and value story. It often combines discovery, stakeholder conversations, messaging refinement and practical decision-making principles.

When does a leadership team need outside clarity?

Outside clarity helps when people are busy and capable, but decisions keep circling, priorities compete, messaging shifts or different parts of the team understand the direction differently.

Is this product strategy, brand strategy or messaging?

It can include all three where they overlap. The work follows the real source of confusion, whether that sits in product direction, positioning, website structure, internal alignment or the way the value is explained.

What changes after the engagement?

The team should have a clearer narrative, agreed priorities, stronger messaging or product direction, and practical principles that make future decisions easier to make and explain.

Not sure where the real problem is?

If you are unsure whether the issue is product, messaging, or team alignment, that is completely normal. Let’s explore it together.
